If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people.

Religious Affiliation
Key Metric
The greatest opportunity for the church in Charlotte to show and share the hope of Christ is with those who self identify as no faith affiliation.
While Charlotte remains a slight majority Christian in religious affiliation, other religious traditions are part of the fabric of the Greater Charlotte Area. Overall, the religiously unaffiliated are the second most populous religious group in Charlotte and they have been growing over the years. Additionally, as Charlotte has grown, a greater diversity of faith traditions has grown as well. Understanding the religious diversity of our city, it is important for the Church of Greater Charlotte to wrestle with how to best represent Christ and live at peace with people of all faiths or no faith at all in a pluralistic society.

Prayer Topics
Suggestions to help you connect this reality to your prayers.
Like the Good Samaritan, pray for opportunities to care for, love and support those with whom you may be expected to disagree. Whether religious or other differences, pray for the opportunity to show love and compassion to those you may hope to win to the gospel.
Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. Pray with compassion for those who don’t know or trust Jesus yet. Ask God to be present for good in their lives. To love is to will and to work for the good of the other, and Jesus so loved the world that he came for all.
